After cooking is complete, turn off the grill. While the griddle is warm, scrape food residue from the cooking surface to the grease trough with a stainless steel scraper. Sprinkle cooking oil or pour approximately 1/4 cup of water on the cooking surface to loosen any residue. Use a high-temperature grill scrubber to clean the surface. If using water, be certain that the griddle has cooled enough that you will not be harmed by hot steam or grease spray generated by water contacting the hot surface. When the griddle has fully cooled, wipe the grease trough with paper towels. Store griddle inside grill cabinet or in another dry location. Cleaning (alternate method for high-grease applications). After cooking is complete, turn off the grill. While the griddle is still warm, spray or drizzle cooking oil on the griddle surface. Use a wide flexible stainless steel scraper to quickly move the loosened residue to the grease trough. If necessary, spray or drizzle a little more cooking oil on the griddle surface and break remaining residue loose with a griddle scrubber. Once again, use a wide flexible scraper to move all remaining residue to the trough. Use the scraper with paper towels to carefully clean out the grease trough. IIf there is a large quantity of grease in the trough, allow the griddle to cool down prior to cleaning the grease trough. Then carefully pick up the griddle and dump the grease in a coffee can or other container for proper disposal.

One of my friends has a full sized gas griddle at their summer place and a year ago I got to use it while I was visiting. We like to share recipes and cook together. Anyway I liked the versatility of that unit and so began a search for an add on griddle for my gas grill.I decided on the SIZZLE - Q first, because it was the perfect size to fit my grill. Second because of the stainless steel construction and the promise of even heat distribution and easy cleaning that stainless offers. And BTW, there is no need to season the griddle, just wash it and start cooking. When I received the package it was noticeably heavy, that's a good thing. Let me tell you, this is well constructed. Tight corners and no sharp edges. My first meal on my new outdoor griddle was fajitas. The surface heated up super fast. In fact I had it too hot and as you can see from the picture, the darkened places where the juices from the marinade were becoming a little burnt. But that was my fault not the product. I have since learned to better control the temp and use oils with a higher smoke point etc.The fajitas cooked up very quickly. And so good! Not enough "D's" in DEEEEELICIOUS! Since then I've done burgers, brats and have my sights set on Philly cheesesteaks and breakfast foods.Clean up is pretty easy. Heat the griddle and hit it with water and scrape all the stuff off (hint: buy a good quality griddle scraper). After it cools I take it in and give it a good wash in the sink which takes care of the edges and corners. Now that's something my friend can't do with their full size one.I'm learning how to master the SIZZLING - Q more every time I use it and falling in love with this quality versatile tool. Oh! And let's not forget, making super tasty meals while doing it.This is a nice quality little grill for my Weber Spirit E210 grill. It has 3-4 inches of room on each side if you want to toast or grill something there while you’re using the griddle part. The grease trap/drain area is a little too hard to clean at the ends but the rest of it is super easy to clean. I somehow got the grill up to 750 degrees with the lid down when I was not paying attention . The griddle has a few heat stress cracks from this accident but it doesn’t affect it and is not getting worst. I will buy another when this finally needs to be replaced. I am really happy with it.On my 3-burner Weber Spirit, I set the Sizzle-Q to the side, fully covering two of the burners. Running the two burners on high, the griddle will heat up to about 400F, and that's hot enough for everything. Before cooking, I oiled the griddle with grapeseed oil. Very little food stuck and after cooking, cleanup was a cinch. I put the Sizzle-Q in the sink and sprayed it with Easy-Off Fume Free oven cleaner. Once the cleaner had done its work, everything rinsed away. It also fits in my dishwasher. Recommended!Heavy duty. Solid and heats evenly. The trowel in the front captures any grease overflow. Hard to clean in corners.Nice solid griddle, it works exactly the way we intended for it to. It just stains with burnt food however but that was kind of expected.Really great grill, heavy duty, heats up evenly, easy to clean and fits my grill perfectly.I purchased this griddle Sizzle-Q SQ180 with low expectations. I used it on my Weber Genesis S-320 grill. I wanted to purchase a Blackstone and place it next to my grill but my wife said I didn't need it. Boooo... So I purchased this griddle and this model because it was only $50. All I can is WOWWW. I never thought something like this would change my grilling habits. It fit beautifully and is surprisingly made from the highest of quality metals. It is very heavy and well worth the money I paid for it. I did have an issue cleaning it and did make the mistake of not cleaning it for a few days. It was in very poor condition with food and stains burned into it. I was upset to see that I had one more thing that I need to spend more time taken care of it than using it. Well, I was wrong. I watched a video on YouTube on how to clean it easily from a cook that has cleaned griddles for years with just water when the griddle was hot and the steam quickly and easily removes everything including the stains that are from being very hot. I recommend everyone watching this video before they attempt to clean any other way! I love this purchase and I am very satisfied with it.I struggled to find a griddle top that fit my large Coleman camp stove (hyperflame series stove) and I didn't want to purchase the Coleman version of their griddle as they are known to crack. This griddle fit the bill just right! I recommend putting the griddle on top of the stoves pot holders as it got too hot when I put it directly over the burners. I highly recommend this when camping with larger groups. The heat distribution is similar to other griddles where there was a hot spot directly over the burners but not too bad if you keep the heat at a lower setting.
