Summary: Our new model range/ oven KRG365-NG broke down within weeks of installation, in April 2022. Repair with their limited authorized service technicians takes many weeks to schedule. Ordering and shipping take more weeks. Numerous service visits. Hasn't fixed the problem permanently. The Hestan company is unresponsive, and does not follow up with ordering parts needed nor ensuring shipment status; subsequent follow-up with its service professionals is ignored or delayed._________The gas range is built well, the grates are mighty, the burners are durable and have performed well under many days and weeks of fairly heavy residential use. The simmer and low heat functions are beautiful pieces of craftsmanship, perfect for cooking rice, or other fine grains, and keeping large pots of cooked food heated evenly.The same cannot be said of the accompanying oven. It has been encountering issues with operating properly (heating to strange/ uneven temps or not heating at all) since a few weeks after installation, by a licensed electrician, and subsequent first use.In the most recent attempt at warranty claims, we submitted oven issues and warranty info by both calling and sending an email sent to Hestan Commercial Corp. warranty service dept. requesting fulfillment of their "ironclad" 3-year full warranty. (We believe the unit to be defective.) The email was sent October 2023 after speaking to a rep by phone 2 times and having other calls disconnected in the middle with no one calling back. A follow-up email was sent two weeks later.In the letter, the oven/ range issues were defined, the history of past service calls, and proof of purchase was conveyed, as well as expectations for resolving our claims against them.There had been no replies._____Looking at outside appliance review threads, Houzz, there seems to be a significant percentage of those with lousy experiences specifically pertaining to Hestan's keeping their warranty promises. They also appear to be struggling mightily with an ability to have their few authorized service techs -- in a major metro area -- fix their appliances so that they stay working for months after. They aren't up to standard with general company responsiveness either. This is for very expensive products.Would not recommend this company's line of large residential kitchen appliances to other home consumers. This review doesn't reflect on their commercial lines).___If company responsiveness, honoring their warranty, as well as service calls fulfilled within a relatively decent time frame -- consistent with appliance industry-wide standards -- a significant factor when purchasing appliances, do NOT go with Hestan. Try another well-established brand with more years behind their servicing warranty issues and better availability of knowledgeable service techs who are familiar with all aspects of their products.
