Have only used a couple weeks and so far it's been greatThis is my second review. It has been one year since I purchased this set. The small one was unusable after 3 months and the 2nd one is on its last days. Both deteriorated on the inside and the outside. The lining wore away to the point I couldn't use it at all. I have the Rachel Ray cookware and it is great. Very disappointed in this set.I love the ease of using these frying pans, and a larger one I also bought. The only down side is you're not to use oil with them, as it will eventually build up. I do use some, however, for frying hash browns. The food slides right out of the pan and they are so easy to clean!Lightweight colorful pans with slick non-stick interiors, and hard enamel exteriors. They heat quickly, clean up easily, and the nonstick works. But I prefer the "II" version.A sale price prompted me to try this "Porcelain Enamel" version (and the desire for new colors). They're very, very similar to the "Porcelain Enamel II", but have notably less comfortable handles. They also seem to heat more quickly, maybe too quickly. Although the weight of these pans is almost identical (within 1oz) to the same sizes in the "II", the color of the interior is different, and the exteriors are solid rather than a color gradient. Presumably the core is also a different composition, accounting for the heating differential. But the handles are the main difference. These pans' flat rubberized handles look great but are uncomfortable to hold, and make it harder to support a full pan one-handed. The angle is also lower than on the "II", which means you have less leverage to lift the pan off the heat (ie, to toss the ingredients). The II's handles are plastic and chunky, looking less elegant but way nicer in-hand.Besides the "II", Rachael Ray's "Classic Brights Hard Enamel" pans also seem to feature the chunkier handle I prefer.Pictured: Red is this product, Orange is the "II".Rachael Ray cookware is my go-to for everyday use. It's light, but not flimsy, heats quickly and evenly, and looks nice. After years of using it, it's 80% of the cookware I use for non-occasion meals. I'm assuming these pans will last as well as my old ones have, but I recommend those other versions for the better handles and more consistent heating.I go through frying pans like a dog uses bones. Most of them dont last that long due to some of the cooks in the house that use too high a heat when cooking . Sometimes they walk off and forget they were warming up the frying pan and then that tends to warp the cheaper ones. These pans are very durable and they have a good finish on them. I like the color of them and the material inside the skillets seems to hold up very well. I actually use the smaller one more then the big one. Mainly for cooking breakfast items. I like it becuase you can just flip it over the plate when your done and when its time to clean up you can use a paper towel to get most of the debris out of it. I put them in the dishwasher all the time and they have held up well. I have tried many brands of skillets all promising that they will hold up til the end of time and then of course they have the warrenty that says just mail it back and we will replace it. I dont like to pay postage so if it wont hold up then i dont buy it again. This is one product i was very surprised with and it was the first timei ever used this brand. I normally use T Fal... this is equal or better. I dont know who makes it but its cheap and easy to clean . Highly recommended.I was looking for something pretty, and functional. I sifted the internet and Amazon both over a couple months on and off. The bottom line is, after a couple months of using these 2 pans almost every day- they have made cooking MUCH easier, and fun.Fun, because you really don't need oil or anything to pan flip anything with no spatula, like you're pretending to have your own show. My husband like to use a little oil now and again just to keep things super slidey.I am generally not very strong, and these pans are not hard to hold or pick up with food in them for me. I do have some muscle issues, and a previous shoulder injury that would make it more difficult for me.I gave 4 stars for cleaning, not because it's difficult to clean, but if you want to keep it forever perfectly beautiful you have to put work into it like any pan. The pan itself, on the inside, holds on to nothing and cleans very simply. We have a traditional electric non-flat top stove, and I assume sometimes particles get on to the burner itself, and it adheres those particles under the pan. You have to scrub and scrub to remove them and keep the pan pretty. That being said there are NO COLOR CHANGES OR FADING at all after a couple months of constant use. There is no chipping or scratching.Summary, buy this pan set! It's beautifully manufactured functional bliss to own and use. These are now my new favorite pans I use the small one every morning to make myself some eggs and I never have an issue with stickingI love these pans. They are so easy to clean and they are the most non-stick pans I've ever owned.I'm not sure if I missed something in the description but even after I wash them, they seem to have a greasy feeling to the surface and no amount of soap will remove this.If you're cooking eggs, be warned that they are so slippery that it's really hard to get a spatula under the eggs to flip them. You will just push the eggs around, even up over the edge of the pan if you're not careful.I decided I'd learn how to deal with this because I'd rather have a slippery pan than a pan that is hard to clean. Now I use 2 spatulas. One to flip and the other to hold the eggs (or any food) in place when you are flipping. Hi, I just received my skillets ,too bad the cardboard damaged the bottom of the large one.And the little one has a little srcach on the bottom.I won’t be giving these away for Christmas.....Calidad excelente, no se pega nada, básicamente puedes cocinar en este sartén sin aceite. Purchased this on February 28th and the the non-stick coating on the small pan is already starting to come off. No metal was used when cooking. Very disappointed!
